MovieKat is my blog about movies.  It includes a list of my favorite films and also a brief write-up & personal rating of all of the movies that I’ve seen so far this year.

My name is Carrie and I live in Raleigh, NC with my husband, two daughters and four cats.  I’m a free-lance calligrapher specializing in wedding invitation addressing, and I’m lucky enough to work out of my house. 

I’m a movie nut.  I think film is a powerful medium.  Some movies can change the way people live their lives by opening their minds and hearts to new ways of thinking and viewing the world.  Some movies are just great entertainment – a fantastic way to spend a Friday night with my husband or the whole family.   I like all types of movies.  I like to talk about movies—maybe a little too much.  This blog gives me a place to express my cinematic opinions without driving my family and friends crazy.
